# Day 37: Making Sense of Sampling

We are deep into our study of sampling methods in AP Statistics. It was time to get the students puzzling over scenarios and decide the type of sampling that occurred. I borrowed an awesome activity from @druink at her blog Teaching Statistics. Her original activity was Quiz-Quiz Review where students read the scenario and stated what they thought the sample type was. On the back of each card was the name of the method.

I used it a little differently. I made labels of the 7 sampling types and then had my students sort the scenarios by type. Excellent discussions and clarifying questions abounded during the activity. And I have more student work displayed. Double bonus!!
