Day 14: Favorite Precalc Resources


Next week is our first assessment in Precalculus, so it’s time to fine=tune and re-write the chapter 1 assessment.  And one of my all-time favorite resource for precalculus is the text, Functions Modeling Change by Connally, Hughes-Hasslett, Gleason, et. al.  They ask wonderful questions that get at the heart of the concept while reinforcing prior learning.  Here’s an example from p 392:

I love the way the student must bring to the problem a plethora of concepts and then shuffle through them to find the one’s that fit the question.
